At Skin Laundry, we made laser facials a thing. Since opening our doors in 2013, we have performed over 2.5 million of these medical-grade, non-invasive, no-downtime, multi-tasking treatments.

What is the purpose of a facial?
A facial is a treatment designed to improve the appearance and health of the skin. Our skin is constantly exposed to intrinsic and extrinsic factors that can damage it and lead to common conditions such as acne, hyperpigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles and more.
A facial treatment can cleanse and exfoliate the skin, stimulate cell turnover and renewal, reduce inflammation, boost hydration, stimulate collagen production and improve tone and texture.
What is a laser facial?
A laser facial is different to a classic spa facial in that rather than massage, steam, extractions and applying different products like an exfoliator, a face mask, and a moisturizer, it uses an energy-based device to improve the look and feel of skin.
While a spa facial can be a relaxing experience and improve the appearance of the skin, it does not provide the same targeted results that a laser facial can offer.
Spa facials are designed to make you feel pampered and relaxed, but the methods and ingredients used in them often have a superficial effect on the skin. Lasers on the other hand use energy that can penetrate deep beneath the surface of the skin and work to improve skin health on a cellular level.

How does our laser technology work?
Our non-ablative lasers emit high-energy infrared light at a wavelength that penetrates the deeper layers of the skin where the cause of many common skin concerns occurs while leaving the surface layer of the skin unharmed.
This light energy targets molecules in the skin, known as chromophores, which then absorb it and convert it into heat to generate a desired effect such as killing the bacteria that causes acne, treating vascular damage (and the accompanying redness), breaking up excess pigmentation and stimulating new collagen production to reduce the appearance of acne scars or fine lines.
At the same time, its ability to bypass healthy and normal melanin in the skin makes it safe for all skin tones. The procedure is painless and requires no downtime. The result? Visibly healthier, brighter, firmer skin.

What to expect before, during and after a Signature Laser Facial
We advise avoiding products with active ingredients such as vitamin A, AHA and retinol for two days before your treatment and to arrive with clean skin free of makeup and sunscreen.
Before your treatment, we will cleanse the skin with a micellar cleansing cloth.
You will be given protective eyewear.
The treatment is painless, has no downtime and takes less than 15 minutes.
Immediately following the treatment, your Skin Laundry provider will apply a serum to boost your results.
What is the aftercare protocol for a Signature Laser Facial?
Avoid unprotected sun exposure and use a sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or more as part of your daily skincare routine.
Hold off on any physical exfoliation of the treated area for 24 hours.
Hold off on any active topical products such as Vitamin C, Vitamin A, Glycolic Acid, et cetera for 24 hours.
Keep up with a good skincare routine: Thoroughly cleanse your skin twice a day with a gentle cleanser to remove dirt, sweat, makeup and bacteria. Use a targeted serum, followed by moisturizer as part of your morning and nighttime routine.
Doctor’s Note
While you will notice an immediate glow and your skin will feel fresher and firmer after your first Laser Facial, a series of treatments offers better results than a single visit.
